| Tanzania also offers Pemba to the north (as part of the Zanzibar archipelago), Mafia Island to the south and the coastal areas of the mainland runing from Tanga to Mtwara.

DAY 1 - BEACH HOTEL
Depart your safari at the Arusha Airport and fly at 1230 to Zanzibar arriving just after 1400. Transfer on arrival to your beach hotel. Afternoon at leisure. (For those choosing this as a stand-alone holiday, your flight is from Dar es Salaam.) [D]
DAYS 2 & 3 - BEACH HOTEL
Both days at leisure to enjoy the facilities of the hotel. [B D]
DAY 4 - BEACH HOTEL
You are transferred to Fumba and begin your morning with a boat ride to a sand bar. There is a chance that dolphins will join you during the cruise. A special barbeque lunch is served on the sand bar and then, after some time to snorkel, you sail back to Fumba in a local dhow. Afternoon transfer back to your hotel. [B L D]
DAY 5 - BEACH HOTEL
Day at leisure to enjoy the facilities of the hotel. [B D]
DAY 6 - STONE TOWN
If saying in the north, you have a spice tour, visit to the slave caves and lunch at Mangapwani today and then proceed to Stone Town. If staying in the south, you visit Jozani Forest and then proceed to your Stone Town hotel. [B D]
DAY 7 - STONE TOWN
Today you start with a city tour of the historic town. Then you may choose to travel to Prison Island, visit the spice gardens and Mangapwani or travel to Jozani Forest. Dinner at your hotel. [B D]
DAY 8 - DEPART
You depart the hotel and return to the airport or sea port.
